These Stars Have Beautiful Transgender Children

Annette Bening and Warren Beatty are not only one of the most powerful celebrity couples, but also proud parents to a transgender child.

These celebrities have opened up about their children's transition journey.

In 2023, 'Real Housewives of Orange County' star Alexis Bellino posted a picture on Instagram, announcing her son Miles as a transgender 15-year-old.

She wrote: "Miles truly wants this because he’s tired of the misgendering and confusion people have, so we are setting the record straight and hopefully bringing clarity."

In 2020, Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade opened up about daughter Zaya's transition for the first time, and have been supporting her ever since.

Two years later, in an interview with 'Buzzfeed', the 'Bring It On' star highlighted how important love is in their household. She said: "It’s important for us to live and love out loud. We didn’t exactly understand why [supporting Zaya’s trans identity] was a thing because it’s like, we love all our kids out loud. But it is a thing and a lot of people do need an example. [People] do need that [kind of] representation."

'Real Housewives of Orange County' star Heather Dubrow took Instagram to share that her son, Ace, had come out as trans. In a heartfelt family pic she wrote: "We love you, our youngest son, Ace. Our job as parents is to give our kids a safe and supportive environment so they can grow up as healthy, happy, confident, independent humans."

Also known as "Miranda" on 'Sex and the City', actress Cynthia Nixon revealed in a 2018 Instagram post that her son Samuel is trans.

In a picture where they both appear celebrating Samuel's graduation from the University of Chicago, Cynthia wrote: "I’m so proud of my son Samuel Joseph Mozes (called Seph) who graduated college this month. I salute him and everyone else marking today’s #TransDayofAction. #TDOA."

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott share five children and two of them are part of the LGBTQ+ community.

During a screening of 'My Fake Boyfriend' at San Francisco's The Castro Theatre, Dean said: "The thing I love about this movie is I got to share it with my 15-year-old who identifies as trans and my gay son. I love that they get a safe space to come and watch this. I think this movie is really important. It’s as poignant as it is fun. So, thank you all for coming, and most importantly, to Jack and Liam, I love you guys."

Chaz Bono is the son of music legend Cher and the late Sonny Bono. The writer and musician started his female-to-male transition in 2008 and it was officially completed in 2010.

In an appearance on 'The Today Show', Cher once opened up about her son's journey. She said: "Chaz is so happy, so unbelievably happy, and I don’t know what the people’s problems are. They’re fearful, and they just don’t understand how to react to it."

Speaking to 'AARP' magazine, actress Jamie Lee Curtis revealed that her and Christopher Guest's daughter Ruby is trans.

The 'Everything Everywhere All At Once' star said: "[We] have watched in wonder and pride as our son became our daughter Ruby."

In 2016, singer Sade's son Izaak came out as trans and underwent gender confirmation surgery.

Following the procedure, he posted a picture on Instagram, thanking the 'Smooth Operator' hitmaker for being by his side. He wrote: "It’s been a long hard road but We did it!! We are coming home!!!! Thank you for staying by my side these past 6 months Mumma. Thank you for fighting with me to complete the man I am. Thank you for your encouragement when things are hard, and for the love you give me. The purest heart. I love you so much. Queen of queens."

Annette Bening and Warren Beatty have been married since 1992. Their eldest child, Stephen Ira Beatty, came out as trans in 2012. Ever since, the Hollywood legends have been supportive.

In a 2016 interview with 'Vanity Fair', Beatty said: "He’s a revolutionary, a genius, and my hero, as are all my children."

As for Bening, she once told 'AARP': "He’s managed something that’s very challenging with great style and great intelligence. He’s an articulate, thoughtful person, and I’m very, very proud of him."
