At its basic level, it's a fear of one's own thoughts, whether it's fear of clutter, germs, or something else. To alleviate the anxiety associated with such intrusive thoughts, such a person will feel the need to behave in a certain way, such as constantly washing their hands or checking that something is off.

These celebrities have been honest and public about how they have struggled with symptoms and how they manage them.
