Ben Affleck has been in the news lately with a string of honest interviews. This time, he sat down with Diane Sawyer of Good Morning America to chat about his recovery from alcoholism and his thoughts on his ex, Jennifer Garner.
Along with the prerecorded interview, Affleck provided a note for Sawyer to read for Garner. It read: "Thank you. Thank you for being thoughtful, considerate, responsible, and a great mom and person."

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner had three kids together
Affleck and Garner had starred in Pearl Harbor and Daredevil together before they began a relationship in 2004. They married in 2005.
The couple had two daughters and one son together. They separated in 2015 and finalized their divorce in 2018.

In his recent interviews, Affleck has opened up about his struggles with drinking. He identified his alcoholism as a main factor that led to the divorce with Garner.
"What happened was that I started drinking more and more when my marriage was falling apart. This was 2015, 2016. My drinking, of course, created more marital problems," Affleck said.
Affleck is now sober, and he stars in the upcoming film, The Way Back. He plays a former basketball star who struggles with alcoholism and regret. He's given a chance at redemption through a coaching job with his old team.
