After the terrible fatal accident on the film set Rust in New Mexico, many questions remain unanswered. Hollywood actor and producer of the film Alec Baldwin fired the prop gun that was previously deemed safe at the camera and killed the camerawoman Halyna Hutchins.
It is still unclear who is ultimately to blame for this tragic accident. Since the accident, Alec Baldwin publicly announced his grief and heartbreak over the tragic event, as well as his wife Hilaria. Now, there is an official statement from the family of Halyna Hutchins.
Halyna Hutchins' family is in mourning
Her husband Matthew Hutchins spoke out on his wife's death on Twitter. Alongside a picture of Halyna and their son, he wrote: "Halyna inspired us all with her passion and vision, and her legacy is too meaningful to encapsulate in words. Our loss is enormous, and we ask that the media please respect my family's privacy as we process our grief. We thank everyone for sharing images and stories of her life."
In addition to Matthew, the couple's nine-year-old son also mourns his mother. Matthew also posted a series of photos of the family of three to Instagram writing, "We miss you Halyna!"
However, the family does not seem to blame actor Alec Baldwin for the disaster. Because so far Matthew had only positive words left for the movie star. "I have spoken with Alec Baldwin and he is being very supportive," he said to The New York Post. They were also together at a funeral for the camerawoman.
