Ana Celia de Armas Caso was born in Havana, Cuba in 1988. She moved to Spain to begin her career when she was just 18 years old, going on to star in several Spanish films and television shows, including the popular boarding school drama El Internado. In 2014, she decided to make the big move to Hollywood!

'Knock Knock'

In her Hollywood film debut, de Armas plays "Bel," one of two women who show up at a man's door claiming they're stranded only to try and seduce him. This horror movie had her acting opposite Keanu Reeves, who she would later reteam with for 2016's Exposed! Fun fact: de Armas has said that due to knowing little English at the time of filming, she didn't know what she was actually saying!

'War Dogs'

This biographical crime dark comedy had de Armas playing "Iz," the main character's girlfriend. It was only a supporting role and while the movie received mixed reviews, de Armas' performance still stood out!

Considered a breakout role by many, de Armas played hologram "Joi" in the Blade Runner sequel opposite Ryan Gosling. Blade Runner 2049 marked her first role in a more mainstream Hollywood film, and her character was certainly a memorable one!

Ana de Armas can be seen in the latest installment of the "James Bond" film franchise, 'No Time To Die'! She plays CIA agent "Paloma" in the movie, which sees her reunite with 'Knives Out' co-star Daniel Craig, who stars as "James Bond". 'No Time To Die' was released in 2021. She also stars in the 2022 psychological thriller 'Deep Water' as '50s housewife "Melinda Van Allen" alongside her ex-boyfriend, Ben Affleck! More recently, she starred in the movie 'Blonde' where she portrayed Marilyn Monroe. The actress was even nominated for an Oscar for this role.
