Sam Heughan, Scottish hottie from the hit series Outlander, was listed as fans' top contender to play the next "007", following in Daniel Craig's footsteps after his final appearance in the 25th instalment of James Bond.

In a poll created by Radio Times, fans got to vote on whom they'd enjoy being cast as the infamous "James Bond", following Craig's retirement from the iconic role. Heughan swept the floor with a 30 percent vote, leading well ahead of other British and Irish actors including Tom Brady and Idris Elba.
