During her farewell speech, Adele reflected on the past few years and candidly shared the challenges she faced. She revisited the difficult decision to cancel concerts in March due to health reasons—a moment that weighed heavily on her. "I was told it was career suicide and that Vegas would never forgive me for doing something so last-minute," Adele revealed. However, she expressed gratitude for standing by her choice: "And had I done that show that I canceled, I certainly wouldn’t be standing here tonight doing my 100th show here at the Colosseum."
Emotional thanks to family
With tears in her eyes, Adele took a heartfelt moment to thank her loved ones. She expressed deep gratitude to her 12-year-old son, Angelo, for his patience and support during the tumultuous years of her residency. "I chose to do a residency maybe because I f------ hate touring, But I chose to do a residency so I could keep his life normal. And I did do that," she joked, adding a touch of levity to the emotional evening.
Adele also paid tribute to her fiancé, Rich Paul, with a poignant acknowledgment: "Thank you for always picking me up and making me feel like I could do whatever I want to do." Her heartfelt words highlighted the critical role her family played in helping her navigate this demanding chapter of her career.
