• What are Harry and Meghan doing at Christmas?
  • They have an invitation to Great Britain
  • THAT is why they won't come

Prince Harry (40) and Duchess Meghan (43) will probably not be spending Christmas in the UK this year. While Harry has recently been traveling regularly to his former home country, Meghan has stayed away from the United Kingdom since the Queen's funeral.

Christmas with the royals without Harry and Meghan

This year, the couple is faced with the decision of where to spend the Christmas holidays. According to a source, despite an invitation from Harry's uncle Charles Spencer to Althorp, they will not be returning to the UK.

The insider tells 'Express': "Harry and Meghan are not going to spend Christmas with the Spencers or the Royal Family this year. It's just not an option with the children at the moment due to what's been going on with their security."

Harry previously expressed concerns about his wife's safety in the UK. In an interview with 'ITV', he said: "It’s still dangerous, and all it takes is one lone actor, one person who reads this stuff to act on what they have read and whether it’s a knife or acid, whatever it is, and these are things that are of genuine concern for me. It’s one of the reasons why I won’t bring my wife back to this country."

'Express' also claims to have learned that King Charles and Queen Camilla have also sent out their invitations for this year's Christmas at Sandringham. However, Prince Harry and Meghan were not invited to the family event.

According to one source: "There will be a large number of people present at this year's dinner. It was trialled in the ballroom for the first time last year and proved a big success so this year will be held in a similar fashion."

Although the Sussexes will not be attending the gathering, it will still be a big family get-together as Camilla has invited her children and grandchildren. The source adds that while many members of the royal family will be gathering at the estate, not all of them will be staying overnight. Prince William and Princess Kate will be staying at their nearby home at Anmer Hall but will be attending the family celebrations.
