• California fires threaten celebrities' homes
  • Harry and Meghan's home at risk
  • Montecito faces high fire risk

The devastating forest fires in the Palisades area of Los Angeles are now threatening Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's estate in Montecito. According to 'Page Six,' a spokesperson for Southern California Edison confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s property lies in a "high fire risk" zone. Due to a "Red flag warning" and increased fire risk, power outages may affect the luxurious Santa Barbara County area.

Residents in affected areas, including Montecito, have already been contacted, although it remains unclear if Meghan and Harry have received notification. Should the fires worsen, the family—along with their children, Archie and Lilibet—may need to evacuate.

California fires threatens celebrities

The Sussexes’ estate, which includes over 1,600 square meters, a pool, tennis court, and guest house, has been their home since they stepped down from royal duties in 2020.

Other celebrities in the region, including neighbors Oprah Winfrey and Gwyneth Paltrow, could also face evacuation. Winfrey, a close friend of Harry and Meghan, experienced property damage from landslides caused by wildfires back in 2018.

High fire risk in Montecito

Thousands of residents have already evacuated Pacific Palisades since the fires started earlier this week, including celebrities such as Ben Affleck and James Woods. Around 30,000 people have been forced to leave their homes. Just hours after the fires began on Tuesday morning, two more destructive blazes ignited in nearby areas.

Firefighters are reportedly struggling due to a severe water shortage, exacerbated by California’s ongoing drought. The situation remains tense, and the risk of further evacuations remains high.
