Will Smith and Martin Lawrence returned to the big screen this past January in the third installment of the Bad Boys franchise. The two actors are currently promoting the upcoming movie and appeared on Ellen Degeneres' daytime talk show to discuss the project:

"It's been really special. We shot some pieces in Atlanta, and just people seeing us together on the street — there's like this really magical thing with Bad Boys", Will Smith said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Lawrence also revealed that his sister recommended Smith to star alongside him in the original 1995 movie: "My sister… she brought Will to my attention. So, I called Will, and we set up a dinner and Will came to my house. Five minutes after talking to Will, he got the job."

After the success of the first movie, Smith and Lawrence then starred in 2003's Bad Boys II, which grossed $273 million worldwide.

Bad Boys for Life was released on January 17 2020.
