Richard Schiff is definitely best known for his role on The West Wing, for which he also won an Emmy Award. Since then, he's had a recurring role in the HBO series Ballers and has been starring as "Dr. Aaron Glassman" on the CBS hit drama The Good Doctor alongside Freddie Highmore since 2017. Schiff has been married since 1996 and has two children.

John Spencer plays "Leo McGarry" in The West Wing. "Leo" is a close personal friend to "President Bartlet" and becomes his Chief of Staff after the election. He is supposed to become the new Vice President after "Bartlet's" two terms end, but passes before he can assume office.

For his role as "Leo McGarry," Spencer won an Emmy Award as Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2002. His other roles included movies such as WarGames, Cop Land and - of course - his 71-episode tenure on L.A. Law as "Tommy Mullaney".

Unfortunately, John Spencer passed away four days before his 59th birthday from a heart attack in Los Angeles, California. His death was written into the seventh season of The West Wing.
