Tiger King debuted on Netflix on March 20. The seven-part true crime docuseries explores the world of big cat owners and their often bizarre personas and lifestyles. For example, the show's star, Joe Exotic, is described by Netflix as a "mulleted, gun-toting polygamist and country western singer."
The series focuses on Exotic's clash with animal rights activist Carole Baskin - who has quirks of her own. Watch the trailer below if you haven't dived into Tiger King just yet.

Tiger King has dominated social media in its first week on Netflix. During that time, more than a few celebrities have commented on the outrageous stars and story.
For starters, actor Dax Shepard is convinced that he would make the best Joe Exotic in a biopic about the Tiger King star's life.

Shepard may be on to something here, judging by the popularity of his tweet and a photoshop preview that a fan posted in response.
But Edward Norton wasn't convinced. Perhaps he wants the Joe Exotic role for himself, or he thinks Dax can do better than the criminal figure Joe Exotic - whom many have attacked for his mistreatment of the tigers.

Jared Leto, meanwhile, held a viewing party of the series, during which he sent out live reactions on Twitter. He was also inspired by the unique fashion of Tiger King's stars, Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin. He scoured his wardrobe for items that resembled their looks, and posted the results on his Twitter.

While Leto pulls off a decent Carole Baskin, fans were quick to point out that actress and comedian Kate McKinnon is already attached to portray Baskin in a new limited series. It began the early stages of production last fall, but few details are known about the series apart from the starring role.
If a Joe Exotic biopic does come to fruition, the starring role looks to have many hopefuls. But for now, catch up on the Tiger King trend on Netflix if you haven't already. It's like nothing you've ever seen before!
