The plot of the show revolved around the "Waltons" during the time of the Great Depression up to the end of the Second World War. As the show became popular, so did the seven "Walton" children. The Waltons changed family television forever
The character is played by Richard Thomas and later by Robert Wightman, but Thomas' successor was less popular. This is what Richard Thomas looks like today. He has appeared in many productions since The Waltons, including Law & Order, Tell Me Your Secrets or NCIS: New Orleans.
