The Umbrella Academy's "Vanya Hargreeves" is portrayed by critically acclaimed Ellen Page. She is the most enigmatic and enticing of the group of super siblings who was raised to believe she had no powers at all while in reality, she was the most powerful of all. Tragically for "Vanya", her powers were suppressed and she was ostracised from the others.
"Vanya" has the amazing ability to harness power using sound and is able to cause mass destruction, hurt, and even kill, all by using sound! Ellen Page's performance of the subdued but troubled "Hargreeves" child is very well done. Ellen Page's performance is praised by fans and is quickly becoming an LGBTQ+ icon because she is a bisexual superhero!

The Umbrella Academy's "Vanya's" story and growth are one of the most interesting of the bunch while also being one of the most complicated. She loves and cares for her family and siblings even though she felt cast aside and unloved, never being allowed to participate in their superhero adventures until the truth comes out and she slowly comes to realize her powers.
We are so excited to see more of Ellen Page as The Umbrella Academy's "Vanya Hargreeves" in the upcoming seasons on Netflix!
