The Parent Trap Cast and Director Reunite 22 Years Later!
The perfect rom-com The Parent Trap premiered July 20th, 1998, and now the cast and crew are finally getting back together 22 years later! Katie Couric and Lindsay Lohan announced on their Instagram's that they will be reuniting for a virtual fundraiser for the non-profit World Central Kitchen.
The Parent Trap starred Lindsay Lohan as both twins "Annie James" and "Hallie Parker" who were separated as babies when their parents played by the late Natasha Richardson and Dennis Quaid, divorced. One was raised in London and the other in California until by chance the two met at summer camp, first clashing competitively and then closely connecting.
The devious girls even devised a plan to get rid of their dad's new love interest "Meredith Blake" (Elaine Hendrix) and reunite their parents so they can be raised as a family again. Along the way, the twins recruit goofy "Chessy" (Lisa Ann Walter) and "Martin" (Simon Kunz) to help in their mischievous plans.
The Parent Trap Reunion!
Lindsay Lohan, Dennis Quaid, Lisa Ann Walter, Simon Kunz, Elaine Hendrix, director Nancy Meyers, and writer-producer Charles Shyer will all be back together again for the first time since 1998! They will be talking about their favorite moments, favorite lines, and the impact of their movie to this day. They will also be paying tribute to treasured Natasha Richardson who played the twins mother who passed away in 2009.
The award-winning and critically acclaimed actress died in a tragic skiing accident. During the Instagram Live Chat between Couric and Meyers in April that inspired the reunion, Lindsay commented "Nancy was a mother to me."
