- The Hills first aired in 2006
- The show ran for six seasons
- It featured Lauren Conrad, Kristen Cavalleri and Brody Jenner
There's a lot to be said about the old TV series that ruled the MTV scene in the early 2000s, but old millennials will never forget the drama! Now, MTV has announced it's coming back - but with a more modern take.
MTV teams up with Paramount
Working alongside the mega productions studio Paramount, MTV will re-shoot the series with a whole new cast! No word on if any of the OG members will join.
The series will follow a more diverse cast this time, but will still keep the original Malibu-loving early adulters navigating life beachside.
OG members like Lauren Conrad, Brody Jenner, Audrina Patridge, Heidi Montag, and Spencer Pratt have yet to comment on the new series, but they can all attribute their fame to the reality series!
Also Interesting:
Other than the name, the new series is said to be completely different than the original series, which in itself was a more successful spin-off from the reality series Laguna Beach - where Kristin Cavallari got her fame.
The Hills: New Beginnings had two seasons in the last few years, which followed the old cast members in their current life, years after they were on show. The show was sadly cancelled after only two seasons.
While there hasn't been an official release date yet - we're sure to keep you updated in anticipation for the show!
