The Most Popular Disney Films Of All Time

This Disney movie topped charts everywhere! It grossed over $640 million worldwide, and to this day is one of the most-streamed movies of all time! With a Rotten Tomato score of 95%, it's no wonder Disney fans adored this film! 

"Snow White" is an icon everywhere, and regardless of whether or not you've seen the whole 1937 feature film, you know the story and plenty of pop culture references found in modern film. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was Walt Disney's first technicolour with full sound film, and at the time it was released, there was nothing out there quite like it. 

It was because of this, Disney Animation Studios was able to become what it is today, and grossing $8 million during the Great Depression would change cinema as we knew it forever. 

While Finding Nemo was released under Pixar Studios before it was absorbed into Disney, there's no denying that it's become one of the most beloved animated films in modern history. 

The story itself is heartwarming, but what made this film rake it in at the box office was the loveable characters and animation design. After its initial release in 2003, Finding Nemo remained the highest-grossing film until it was surpassed in 2010 by Toy Story 3. 

There's a lot we can say about Frozen! This feature film was a huge success, and we mean huge! Worldwide, this film grossed $1.2 billion dollars and became the fifth highest-grossing film of all time. 

It has some of the highest ratings of any Disney animated film, and creating short stories and eventually a Frozen II, even if you haven't seen the movie, anyone will recognize "Elsa's" blue dress anywhere!

The Toy Story franchise has kept Millenials coming back time and time again! With the original film releasing in 1995, for its time the CGI was next level, and the story itself was wonderful.

Furthermore, the original Toy Story was the first Disney-Pixar collaboration, and the high earnings at the box-office is what cinephiles call "Disney's Rennaissance"!

It's hard to imagine a world in which The Lion King didn't exist! Being such a huge film for its time came with massive rewards! The film itself grossed over $1 billion in the box office, and considering this film came out in the '90s, that was a major achievement. 

The Little Mermaid came at a time when Disney studios weren't doing so hot. The previous decade fell pretty flat in terms of animated films, and fans were questioning if Disney had lost that magical charm. That us, until the red-headed sweet mermaid came swimming onto the big screen!

The Little Mermaid won two academy awards, the first being for Best Original Score, and Best Original Song, "Under the Sea". To this day, "Ariel" is recognized by every little kid!

Encanto has swept the world with its catchy tunes! "We Don't Talk About Bruno" was not only nominated for an academy award, but the film managed to also make the original soundtrack onto the Billboard 100 list, surpassing every single Disney film ever made!

Mulan is another film out of the Disney Renaissance era. This film was widely loved by especially little girls everywhere, as it showed the female heroine as something other than the typical damsel in distress.

"Mulan" was strong, powerful, smart, and above all else, honourable. It resonated well with audiences, and of course the hilarious "Mushu" helped, along with a great soundtrack! 

Is there anything more iconic and memorable than the characters of Alice in Wonderland? This 1951 film was widely loved in its initial release and quickly became a major staple in pop culture.
