Halle Bailey, who you might know from the R&B music group "Chloe x Halle" composed of sisters Chloe Bailey and Halle Bailey, has just landed the part of "Ariel" in the upcoming Disney live-action remake of The Little Mermaid and fans everywhere are loving it!

The R&B duo shared a re-imagined photo of Halle as "Ariel" on their Twitter account with the caption "dreams do come true...".

The director of the reboot of The Little Mermaid will be Rob Marshall and the film will be produced by John DeLuca, Marc Platt and Lin-Manuel Miranda. Marshall said in an interview with E! News that, "after an extensive search, it was abundantly clear that Halle possesses that rare combination of spirit, heart, youth, innocence, and substance—plus a glorious singing voice—all intrinsic qualities necessary to play this iconic role."

Melissa McCarthy might play "Ursula"

With Melissa McCarthy rumoured to play the role of villain "Ursula", nothing is set in stone there. However, Awkwafina and Jacob Tremblay are set to play "Ariel's" sidekicks "Flounder" and "Sebastian". More details concerning the film are expected to be released in the next few weeks. Stay tuned!
