Simon Bird in 'The Inbetweeners'

"Will McKenzie" (Simon Bird), is the show's central character. After his parents' divorce, they are forced to transfer him from private school to Rudge Park Comprehensive, where he ends up meeting his friends in the series— "Neil," "Simon," and "Jay". Considered to be one of the more level-headed members of the group, this young man strives to achieve with larger goals in mind, which includes getting into a good university. Nevertheless, "Will" isn't perfect. His overused sarcasm gets him into several sticky situations…

Simon Bird continued to showcase his comedic talent with roles in other Channel 4 comedies, particularly 'Friday Night Dinner, 'where he played the quirky son, Jonny. He also returned as "Will" for a 'The Inbetweeners' 10th Anniversary special. Simon is married to Lisa Owens, and they have two children together.

James Buckley in 'The Inbetweeners'

"Jay Cartwright," who is played by James Buckley, is definitely the most vulgar member of the group. He is constantly talking about sex and has a very misogynistic outlook towards women. Although "Jay" is constantly talking about his fictional sexual experiences throughout the series, he is, in fact, the most inexperienced amongst his peers.

An actor turned Youtuber! That's right! Buckley now runs a Youtube gaming channel called 'Complete It Mate,' which boasts a whopping total of 300k subscribers. Buckley also starred in the BBC comedy 'White Gold,' alongside fellow 'Inbetweeners' cast member Joe Thomas. He is married to model Clair Meek, and they have two children together.

"Simon" is the grumpiest of the group with an often cynical, yet hilarious, outlook on high school life. He is one of the only people in the group that is closest to "Will". Despite being so negative, he is, in fact, a true-born romantic!

Almost immediately after his role in 'The Inbetweeners,' Joe Thomas moved on to star in 'Fresh Meat' alongside fellow comedian Jack Whitehall. Thomas never really got his big breakthrough, but he is one of the few in the show's former cast that has starred in a serious movie, 'The Darkest Universe.' He even ended up marrying co-star Hannah Tointon, who played "Tara" in the high school sitcom.

"Neil" is the original "nice guy"! His somewhat dimwitted and simple nature is the cause of his behavior which consists mainly of actions he never takes responsibility for. On the other hand, his mindset makes him the most sexually experienced in the group!

After the series ended, Blake Harrison moved on to a variety of roles, including voice acting for 'Bob the Builder.' He also starred in 'Dad's Army' and the series 'The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret'. Known for his charm and comedy, Harrison has proven himself a versatile actor, both in film and television.

"Carli D'Amato" is Simon's main love interest throughout the show. She is one of the more popular kids in school and tends to use "Simon's" uncontrollable urges against him.
