- This is his career highlights
"Thorin Oakenshield" was one of the most important characters in 'The Hobbit'. The dwarf king appeared in all three parts of the 'The Lord of the Rings' prequel and was played by Richard Armitage. Although the Brit had already had a successful career, he was mainly known in his home country until the film was broadcast internationally.
Also Interesting:
After 'The Hobbit', Hollywood came knocking more and more often. Blockbusters such as 'Ocean's 8', 'Alice Through The Looking Glass' and 'The Boy in the Woods' are among his previous projects. He has also appeared in series, including 'Berlin Station', 'Stay Close' and 'Obsession'. Most recently, he played "Joe" in 'Fool Me Once' and "Dr. Matthew Nolan" in 'Red Eye', both in 2024.
Richard Armitage today
While he stood in front of the camera with long hair and a full beard in his role as "Thorin", Richard now likes to present himself in private with a short hairstyle and three-day beard. His now partially graying hair makes the actor even more attractive.
Richard Armitage largely keeps his private life out of the public eye. He told 'The Standard' in 2023 that he had a boyfriend. It is not known whether the two are still in a relationship today.
