Drew Barrymore: "I own this choice"

According to a statement posted on Instagram, Drew Barrymore said the decision to bring back 'The Drew Barrymore Show' doesn't break the terms of the current Sag/AFTRA strike.

"I own this choice. We are in compliance with not discussing or promoting film and television that is struck of any kind," Drew says on Instagram. 'NBC' reports that just days in to the strike, Barrymore stepped down from hosting the MTV Movie & TV Awards.

In her post, Barrymore goes on to explain the decision to bring her talk show back to the air.

"I want to be there to provide what writers do so well, which is a way to bring us together or help us make sense of the human experience," she continues. "I hope for a resolve for everyone as soon as possible".
