'The Deputy': Where Is The Cast Now?

'The Deputy' followed the story of Marshal Fry and his deputies as they tried to keep the peace in the lawless Arizona Territory. 

Henry Fonda played the lead role of "Chief Marshal Simon Fry" on 'The Deputy'. "Fry" was determined to bring law and peace to the lawless Arizona territory and the untamed frontier.

Henry Fonda became a legend in Hollywood and Broadway. He starred in classic films and television series such as 'The Grapes of Wrath' and 'Jesse James.' He is also famously known for being the father of the great Jane Fonda.

Allen Case played "Deputy Clay McCord" and the character in which the series revolves. A former shopkeeper, "McCord" joins "Marshal Fry" as his deputy to fight against the perils that threaten the Arizona territory.

'The Deputy' was Allen Case's most popular show in his career. He was also a notable singer which lead him to play in Broadway. He participated in over 30 television shows such as 'The Legend of Jesse James.' Case passed in 1986 at the age of 51.

Wallace Ford gave life to "Marshal Herk Lamson," the elderly Marshall of the territory who happily accepts the help of "Fry" and "McCord" to solve the problems of the territory. 

Wallace Ford was a notable stage and movie actor that rose to fame in silent films and the Golden Age of Cinema in Hollywood. In the late stages of his career, Ford became a character actor starring in several wester series of the time, most of them created by John Ford.

Betty Lou Keim was in charge of playing "Fran McCord," "Deputy McCord's" sister. "Fran" was often seen helping her sister and chief "Fry."

Betty Lou Keim was a notable stage actress mainly working in Broadway. Keim had her screen debut in several television series as an extra or with very small parts. However, her big lead role came in 1953 with  'My Son Jeep.' Betty Lou Keim's last acting job was 'The Deputy'.
