Concerns about the coronavirus led to delays for many film and television productions. But The Crown season 4 is not among them! The popular Netflix series was able to finish filming by moving its final shooting days ahead. According to a report from Entertainment Tonight, principal photography is now completed and season 4 should still be on schedule for a release date in late 2020.

The Crown season 3 cast returns - with some new additions
Olivia Colman returns for The Crown season 4 as Queen Elizabeth II. Tobias Menzies (Prince Philip), Helena Bonham Carter (Princess Margaret), Erin Doherty (Princess Anne), and Josh O'Connor (Prince Charles) also reprise their roles in season 4. It's expected that season 5 will be the show's last season.

The Crown season 4: New cast and direction for the season
Season 4 of Netflix's The Crown will reportedly focus on Prince Charles's relationship with Diana. She's a new addition to season 4, and will be portrayed by Emma Corrin. Thomas Byrne also joins the new season as Prince Andrew.
The Crown season 4 is expected to debut in late 2020. Fortunately, the series was able to complete filming prior to any coronavirus-related limitations. Hopefully post-production will also proceed without issues!
