'The Crown': Preview New Charles And Diana Actors In Season 5

The Crown just released two new preview images from the upcoming fifth season. They show the new actors taking over as Prince Charles and Princess Diana, in what's sure to be the most dramatic and controversial season yet.

And here is the first official look at actress Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana. Looking quite like the Princess of Wales, she gazes away from the camera, deep in thought.

The 30-year-old Australian actress has signed on to portray Diana in the final two seasons of The Crown, so it's unclear if the series plans to address her tragic death this season or not.

The new photos of West and Debicki in character add to this earlier preview of Imelda Staunton taking over as Queen Elizabeth II. She's the third and final actress to play the Queen, following Olivia Colman's and Claire Foy's acclaimed work in the role.

Dominic West and Elizabeth Debicki are taking over as the Prince and Princess of Wales as The Crown enters the 1990s with the Royal Family. The couple got married and had their two sons in season 4, which was especially controversial for how it portrayed Charles and Diana's relationship. Nonetheless, Josh O'Connor and Emma Corrin received acclaim for the performances.

Dominic West, the 51-year-old English actor, will portray Prince Charles in the final two seasons of The Crown. He's known for earlier work on The Wire, The Affair, and Brassic.

Elizabeth Debicki, the 30-year-old Australian actress, will portray Princess Diana in the final two seasons of The Crown. In recent years, she's appeared in well-known films including The Great Gatsby, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Widows, and Tenet.
