- This is why The Crown fans are upset
Netflix Releases new cast photos for The Crown season 5. The streaming portal shared a series of pictures on Instagram. The Crown: She plays Queen Elizabeth II - and causes trouble
You can see actress Imelda Staunton (66), who embodies Queen Elizabeth II in the new season of The Crown. Series fans are not at all enthusiastic about this choice. "All I see is Dolores Umbridge", writes a follower who seems to speak to many others as well. The comments under the photo are overwhelming.
Imelda Staunton is a very familiar face among "Harry Potter“ fans. The Briton played the role of the hated teacher "Dolores Umbridge" in the book adaptation.
The Crown fans are disappointed
Further, some fans criticize The Crown cast in general. The creators will certainly not let that deter them, because there has been great success in every season so far.
Royals Prince Charles and Lady Diana are portrayed by Dominic West (53) and Elizabeth Debicki (32) as season 5 of The Crown takes place in the 1990s. Above all, the deteriorating relationship between Charles and Diana is portrayed, as well as the unfaithfulness of Prince Philip to Queen Elizabeth.
