The Cast of 'Goodfellas'

The iconic Goodfellas is a 1990 American crime film directed by Martin Scorsese, produced by Irwin Winkler. It is an adaptation of the 1985 non-fiction book Wiseguy by Nicholas Pileggi, who co-wrote the screenplay with Scorsese. The film was nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director, with Joe Pesci winning for Best Supporting Actor.

His most recent project was a campaign by the tequila brand 1800 with the ironic goal of scaring men out of buying effeminate drinks. Sadly, the actor passed away in 2022 at the age of 67.

Pesci first became famous as a singer in the band The Four Seasons. In 1976, he made his acting debut in the film Bloody Payday, however he wasn't offered any new roles, which is why he then worked as a bricklayer. In 1980, he celebrated his comeback alongside Robert De Niro in the film Raging Bull, which was nominated for an Academy Award. For his performance in the movie Goodfellas back in 1990, he eventually won an Oscar. He starred alongside de Niro and Al Pacino in the 2019 movie The Irishman.

Frank Vincent played the role of "Billy Batts," the head of opposing crime family the "Gambinos". After his role in Goodfellas, he was able to star in a few different movies and TV shows, including the highly-praised HBO series The Sopranos as well as Casino and Night Falls Over Manhattan. Vincent sadly passed away on September 13th, 2017 due to a heart attack. May he rest in peace...
