From 2001 until 2009, Carlos Bernard played the role of "Tony Almeida," an agent for the "CTU". Over the course of the show, he was arrested and charged with treason. After his release, he left the "CTU" together with "Michelle Dessler," who was played by Reiko Aylesworth from 2002 until 2006. "Michelle" was also an agent for the "CTU", but turned her back on the unit later on. She died when a car bomb detonated in front of her house.

The role of "Michelle Dessler" was one of the first main roles for Reiko. Before she joined the cast of 24, she had already appeared in movies films like You've Got Mail and Magma: Volcanic Disaster. From 2001 until 2014, she had a recurring role as "Dr. Malia Waincroft" on the popular show Hawaii Five-0, and she often acts in TV guest roles.

From 2004 to 2007, Kim Raver portrayed "Audrey Raines," the daughter of the U.S. president "James Heller". She is killed by a sniper during a mission.

She celebrated her breakthrough with the Broadway show Holiday and then went on to star in different TV productions, like Lipstick Jungle, Grey's Anatomy and, of course, 24. She also reprised her role of "Audrey Raines" for the unofficial sequel called 24: Live Another Day. Raver further rejoined Kiefer Sutherland on Designated Survivor and was last seen on Station 19.

His character "Mike Novick" only had a supporting role, but he was part of the show for much longer than some lead characters. Jude Ciccolella played a close adviser of "David Palmer" from 2001 until 2006. He became Chief of Staff when "Palmer" became the President of the United States.
