From 2001 until 2009, Carlos Bernard played the role of "Tony Almeida," an agent for the "CTU". Over the course of the show, he was arrested and charged with treason. After his release, he left the "CTU" together with "Michelle Dessler," who was played by Reiko Aylesworth from 2002 until 2006. "Michelle" was also an agent for the "CTU", but turned her back on the unit later on. She died when a car bomb detonated in front of her house.
