Let's start our list with a relatively new spin on a Marvel classic! The 'Daredevil' franchise has been around 6 decades taking on several different media forms over the years, including the original '60s comics and a feature film! In 2015, Netflix decided to give the red-costumed hero of Hell's Kitchen his own series, which took a much darker tone than the previous installments of the franchise. The show was sadly canceled after three riveting seasons full of action, romance, and tragedy. However, it has now moved to Disney+ with a reboot planned. A origin story like no other! To be honest, 'Superman' has been done in so many different ways, both very good and quite terrible. 'Smallville' was one of the franchises done right! Throughout the series, we encounter a young "Clark Kent," who has recently discovered his powers. But, to quote another famous superhero franchise, "With great power, comes great responsibility" and that's something he has to learn the hard way. If you're ever in the mood for a thrilling origin story about the "Man of Steel," Smallville is definitely the way to go!

'The Defenders' was Marvel's attempt at bringing Daredevil, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage all into one series and we think they did a pretty good job! Each character has their own individual show, all with different plot points that feed into the main story of 'The Defenders'. If you're looking for an action-packed plot with some of your favourite Marvel superheroes, you've come to the right place!

They finally did it! Fans of 'The Flash' have been waiting for a show for years and in 2014, it happened! This series, unlike many of the others on this list, takes a rather lighter tone whilst following our main protagonist "Barry Allen" through his war on crime. Make sure you check it out!

The 'Punisher' is probably one of the darkest series on this list! The series follows "Frank Castle," who, after his family's murder, decides to use his military background to take down the people responsible! Gritty, dark, and full of tragedy, this series is surely not for the more lighthearted Marvel fans out there!

All of the classic Batman characters, such as 'The Riddler," "Penguin," "Mr. Freeze," and even series-specific versions of "Joker" are all shown as younger versions of themselves fighting for power in the dirty streets of Gotham! What a treat!

"Luke Cage" is one of the most badass characters in The Defenders line-up. This man is indestructible! To be honest, the individual series itself, alongside Daredevil, doesn't need the other 'Defenders' to be great!
