'Easy A'

This one is definitely one of the more interesting ones! Emma Stone plays the role of "Olive," a California high school girl who is almost invisible to her fellow classmates. Everything changes after she fakes a hook-up with her gay best friend in order to increase his status in the high school hierarchy! What follows is a convoluted scheme of exchanging said "fake hook-ups" for cash and/or coupons! You can imagine how this one backfired...

'Forgetting Sarah Marshall'

Meet "Peter Bretter" (Jason Segal) and "Sarah Marshall" (Kristen Bell)! Their relationship comes to a sudden, and predictable, end after "Sarah" decides she wants to see other people. "Peter", completely devastated, decides to take a vacation to Hawaii only to find his ex and her new rock star boyfriend are staying in the same resort! What could possibly go wrong?

'Secretary'

This romantic comedy is a bit edgy, to say the least! "Lee" has been recently released from a mental institution for self harm and has found a job working as a secretary for the somewhat dominant "Mr. Grey". What ensues is a dark, BDSM-fueled, romance what can only be described as the evil stepson of rom-coms! If you're looking for an out-of-the-ordinary one, Secretary is going to be your best bet!

'(500) Days Of Summer'

(500) Days Of Summer is a masterpiece! "Tom Hansen" is a depressed 20-something working at a greeting card company. Along comes the new secretary, "Summer," who he eventually begins a casual relationship with despite the fact that their thoughts about relationships are completely different from one another... A recipe for a beautiful disaster!

'Punch-Drunk Love'

Adam Sandler plays the extremely lonely and frustrated "Barry Egan" in a comical way of course. Through the help of his sister, he meets the lovely, introverted "Lena," who seems to have a very similar personality in comparison to "Barry". What ensues is a crazy adventure involving pudding, frequent flyer miles and a phone sex hotline!

Kumail Nanjiani and Zoe Kazan in "The Big Sick"

'The Big Sick'

The Big Sick is probably one of the most unique romcoms on this list! The story follows "Kumail" (Kumail Nanjiani), a stand-up comedian who falls in love with an American woman despite the fact that his parents have arranged a marriage for him... This movie definitely shines a light on the downsides of arranged love...

'Love, Actually'

Love, Actually is unique in the fact that it does not tell one love story, it tells several! Narrated by Hugh Grant, the stories all intertwine with each other to form a beautiful and romantic love story that will keep you guys coming back for years to come!

'Beginners'

Mélanie Laurent and Ewan McGregor star in the romcom classic Beginners. This movie is not only beautifully shot, it also has a very compelling plot that deliberately separates itself from the typical romantic comedy love story. Well acted, and highly praised, you can't go wrong with Beginners! Now the real question we have for you guys is: What would you say if your dad, who was married to a woman for over 40 years, suddenly told you he was gay?

'Enough Said'

What would you do if your new girlfriend and your ex suddenly became friends? Well, that's exactly what happened to "Albert" (James Gandolfini)! After his lovely acquaintance "Eva" is told horror stories about "Albert" and his ex's relationship, she quickly begins to question their blooming romance... A typical story of an ex's revenge!

Seth Rogen and Katherine Heigl in Knocked Up

'Knocked Up'

A one-night stand gone completely wrong! Seth Rogen plays the role of "Ben Stone," who ends up having a short sexual encounter with "Alison" (Katherine Heigl) and leaving her pregnant in the process. The hilariously awkward situations following are a true work of art, showing us what a little sexual affair can actually lead to!

A good romantic comedy is always a great source of laughter, sorrow, and overall drama! We, as normal human beings, will always love the tale of the typical meet-cute and inevitable fiery romance that almost always ensues afterwards, with a touch of comedic relief here and there to add to the plot!
