Space Force's first season premieres on Netflix on May 29. We earlier got a first look at a series of images from the show last month. Netflix provides the following description of the new comedy:
"A decorated pilot with dreams of running the Air Force, four-star general Mark R. Naird (Steve Carell) is thrown for a loop when he finds himself tapped to lead the newly formed sixth branch of the US Armed Forces: Space Force.
"Skeptical but dedicated, Mark uproots his family and moves to a remote base in Colorado where he and a colorful team of scientists and 'Spacemen' are tasked by the White House with getting American boots on the moon (again) in a hurry and achieving total space dominance."

Space Force: The Office creators and Steve Carell's new show
In the first trailer, we see Carell's "General Mark Naird" reluctantly taking command of his new duties. Among his methods of stress relief is a performance of "Kokomo" by the Beach Boys.
The cast of Space Force also includes Lisa Kudrow (Friends), John Malkovich, and Jimmy O. Yang. The show is reportedly a satire of US President Donald Trump's idea to establish this "sixth branch" of the military.
Tune into Netflix to watch Space Force beginning on May 29.
