'Scream'

Scream is an American horror movie that came out in 1996, inspired by the popularization of horror films like Halloween, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street and their cliches. In the first installment of the horror movie series, "Casey Becker" (Drew Barrymore) is murdered by a man in a ghost mask after playing a 'game' over the telephone. This wouldn't be the ghost-faced murderer's last victim on his quest for blood...

The Scream saga quickly gained a massive following and subsequently, four sequels were made over the years with a sixth in the works now!

"Sydney Prescott"

Neve Campbell plays the leading role of "Sidney Prescott". Her mother was found raped and murdered exactly one year before the murder of "Casey". At the time, "Cotton Weary" was blamed for the murder and therefore was sentenced to prison. After years of peace, the ghost-faced murderer has risen from the ashes and is now targeting "Sidney" as his next victim, but during their first encounter, she manages to escape the masked killer's wrath. Due to the killings and the mass panic they were causing, the entire town is put on lockdown, but even this didn't seem to stop the young teens from throwing a party. During the party, the assassin strikes again, but this time "Sidney" and reporter "Gale" are able to stop him...

Neve Campbell Today

Neve Campbell was married to actor John Light from 2007 until 2010. She has since been with her current boyfriend JJ Feild since 2012 and have 2 children together. The actress made her big break with the movie Scream and has appeared in numerous blockbusters and shows over the years such as Wild Things, Closing the Ring, Skyscraper, Three to Tango, and a main role in House of Cards.

Campbell's interests are not only in acting but also in writing. She has worked as a TV writer for quite some time and even produced the drama The Company back in 2003. After the success of Scream, she moved on to reprise her role in all of the saga's sequels.

"Billy Loomis"

"Billy Loomis" is "Sidney's" suave boyfriend. After they received the killer's call, "Billy" was arrested because he was supposedly in possession of the phone presumably used to call his victims. However, he was released due to the lack of evidence supporting the police's claim. At the party, he sleeps with "Sidney" and is then allegedly stabbed by "Ghostface". As "Sidney" comes back into the house, the wounded "Billy" comes stumbling down the staircase.

Ultimately, "Sidney" discovers that ''Billy'' was really one of the killers all along. They wanted to pin the evidence on "Sidney's" father, who allegedly went crazy on the day of his wife's death. "Billy" is also responsible for the murder of "Sidney's" mother due to the affair his father was having with her, which led to the divorce of "Billy's" parents.

Skeet Ulrich Today

Skeet Ulrich started out as a nude model before getting his big breakthrough in Scream. After that, he played roles in films like The Warrior, As Good As It Gets, Robot Chicken, Law & Order: LA, Into the West, and even had a starring role as handsome "FP Jones" in the smash hit show Riverdale. Besides his acting career, from 1997 to 2005 he was married to actress Georgina Cates, with whom he had twins in 2001.

"Casey Becker"

"Casey Becker" has a terrible night getting ready for an evening with her boyfriend when suddenly a man calls her asking her if she wants to play a game involving horror movie trivia. The conversation starts out flirty but quickly she realizes the phone call is much more dangerous than she thought. She is forced to watch her boyfriend "Steve" be murdered after she loses the game until "Ghostface" appears and, after a long chase, eventually kills her.

Drew Barrymore Today

By now, Drew Barrymore's filmography just goes on and on. Ever since she was a little girl, her career has shot her into infamy! She's starred in 50 First Dates, Charlie's Angels, and Netflix zombie show The Santa Clarita Diet with Timothy Olyphant. She also has her own talk show, called The Drew Barrymore Show.

The actress was married to art dealer Will Kopelman from 2012 until 2016. The couple have two daughters: Olive Barrymore Kopelman and Frankie Barrymore Kopelman.

"Stu Macher" and "Tatum Riley"

"Stu Macher" is "Billy's" best friend. He's "Tatum Riley's" boyfriend and, ironically enough, is a big fan of horror movies. "Stu" was discovered to be "Billy's" accomplice who helped him with all the murders— even the murder of "Sidney's" mother. His death is dramatic and hilarious. "My mom and dad are gonna be so mad at me!"

"Tatum Riley" is "Sidney's" best friend. At the party, "Stu," who is also "Tatum's" boyfriend, sends her to the garage to get a beer, not knowing that the killer is already expecting her. At first, "Tatum" thinks that one of the teenagers disguised himself as "Ghostface" to try and prank her until the masked killer pulls a knife and attempts to murder her. She tries to escape through the cat flap in the door, but gets stuck. The killer then opens the garage door and "Tatum's" neck is eventually crushed.

Matthew Lillard Today

Matthew Lillard is a fan favorite amongst the Scream cult following. He has an incredibly impressive filmography, with hits like SLC Punk, Hackers with Johnny Lee Miller and Angelina Jolie, the Scooby-Doo series as "Shaggy," Thirteen Ghosts, The Descendants, Twin Peaks: The Return, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Good Girls.

He has taken over as the voice of "Shaggy" in the entire Scooby-Doo franchise since Casey Kasem retired from voicing the character in 2009. Famously kind and funny, Lillard has been married to his wife Heather Helm since 2000, and the two have 3 gorgeous kids together.

Rose McGowan

Rose McGowan had a rather difficult childhood, even being homeless at certain points of her life, before landing a role in the horror movie classic 'Scream'. The young actress had her big breakthrough with her role as "Paige Matthews" in the hit series 'Charmed' in 1998. Afterward, she starred in a variety of different films such as 'The Black Dahlia', 'Grindhouse', 'Machete', and 'The Pastor's Wife'. In 2007, McGowan was in a major car crash where she suffered several facial injuries, and therefore had to undergo several plastic surgeries. In 2013 she married the artist Davey Detail, but the two divorced in 2016. She once had a controversy with some crude statements about the gay community but has since become an LGBTQ+ advocate, and also won her case against convicted criminal Harvey Weinstein.
