Many people still know actress Lindsey Shaw as "Paige" from 'Pretty Little Liars'. She played the on-again-off-again girlfriend of Shay Mitchell's character "Emily" in the popular series starting in 2011.
But after the fifth season, it was over for Lindsey. "Paige" went to California. Now the actress reveals for the first time the shocking reason for her exit.

In the latest episode of 'Ned's Declassified Podcast Survival Guide', Lindsey talks candidly about her relationship with food and drug use that led to her firing from the show:
"I was kind of fired from the fifth season of 'Pretty Little Liars' because I had lost weight, and that was a really embarrassing thing to do," she recalls.
So she was called into the office of I. Marlene King, who handled the dismissal with care and even tried to help Lindsey find help:
"[Marlene] was like, 'It's not because of your acting,' she was like, 'But do you have anyone to talk to?' And I said, 'Um, no.' And she was like, 'We'll find someone, and we have to let you go for now'," Lindsey recalls the conversation at the time.

However, the "Paige" actress was not the only star of the series who had a difficult relationship with food. Lucy Hale also recently revealed that she struggled with an eating disorder and a drinking problem.
Lindsey Shaw was finally allowed to return in front of the cameras once again for the seventh season of 'Pretty Little Liars'. To this day, she is infinitely grateful for her comeback.
