HBO's Perry Mason revival debuts in 2020! Not too many details are known about the show just yet, but it will be a limited miniseries starring Matthew Rhys.
"Perry Mason" was originally played by Raymond Burr on the television series from 1957 to 1966 and again in a series of films between 1985 and 1993.

Burr's iconic run as "Mason" ended when he passed away in 1993.
The "Perry Mason" character comes from the detective stories by author Erle Stanley Gardner. These novels will once again serve as the source material for HBO's 2020 adaptation.
Robert Downey Jr. was originally set to star as "Mason" in the HBO reboot, but he later shifted to an executive producer role. Instead, Welsh actor Matthew Rhys (The Americans, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood) will play Mason.
