NBCUniversal, which is owned by Comcast has announced more details about its new streaming service Peacock. The name Peacock is attributed to NBC's logo of the Peacock, which dates back to the 1960s when NBC became the first television station to broadcast in color picture.
Shows Available on Peacock
Peacock will host many fan-favorite shows including Parks and Recreation, Downton Abbey, Two and a Half Men, Law and Order, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, House, Top Chef, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Parenthood to name a few! It will also become the official home to The Office in 2021.

Movies will also be available on the streaming service, with titles including Mamma Mia!, Back to the Future, and Shrek making the cut!
Peacock Original Series
Peacock will introduce its own original TV shows including Brave New World, a series based on on the classic sci-fi novel, Rutherford Falls, a comedy series from the same creator of The Good Place, and Girls5Eva, a comedy produced by Tina Fey.

Classics such as Battlestar Galactica and Saved By The Bell will also appear on Peacock. You can even catch up with sports on Peacock, and the service will be debuting just in time for the 2020 Summer Olympics!
