Parks and Recreation will be returning to television screens this Thursday night for a special reunion episode, but you can get a glimpse of some of your favourite characters back in action before then! NBC has released a new promotional teaser for the episode that shows Amy Poehler's "Leslie Knope" and Nick Offerman's "Ron Swanson" reconnecting on a Zoom video call while in quarantine.

In the clip, "Ron" reveals to "Leslie" that he's been holding up fine, holed up in his cabin in the woods— just as one would expect from the no-nonsense survivalist. "I come up here to hunt meat so I don't have to go to the grocery store. I've built up about a 12-year supply of venison jerky," "Ron" explains. "I can ship you some, but you'll probably have to get your incisor teeth sharpened".

"Leslie" asks "Ron" if he has been social distancing in teaser

Parks and Recreation's special episode makes sure to address a very important topic. While "Leslie" declines "Ron's" offer to ship her venison jerky, she does ask him if he's been social distancing. Once again, his answer comes as no surprise due to his character's reclusive nature.

"I've been practicing social distancing since I was 4 years old," "Ron" assures her. When Offerman appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers back in March, the show's host asked him how he thought "Ron" would be handling the coronavirus crisis. At the time though, Parks and Rec fans had no idea that they would actually get to see "Ron", "Leslie", and the rest of the gang from Pawnee live out the reality of the situation!
