Lauren Graham recently returned to Gilmore Girls on Netflix and she previously appeared in the HBO's series Curb Your Enthusiasm, but now the 52-year-old actress who portrayed "Sarah" in Parenthood will star in the NBC musical drama comedy Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, which revolves around a 20-something-year-old computer coder named "Zoey" (Jane Levy) who suddenly starts to hear the wishes and desires of the people around her.

The Parenthood star will play "Zoey's" boss and will join a cast which apart from Jane Levy includes Peter Gallagher, Mary Steenburgen, John Clarence Stewart, Skylar Astin, and Alex Newell. Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist is set to premiere on NBC in the midseason and will be written by Austin Winsberg, also known for his work on Gossip Girl; the show's pilot will be directed and produced by Girls director Richard Shepard.
