A new Superman & Lois TV series is in development at The CW! Good news is that Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch will reprise their roles as the "Man of Steel" and the dogged reporter, characters they have both previously portrayed in the CW’s other DC-based series like Supergirl and The Flash.
The upcoming series will revolve around the world's most famous superhero and the comics' most famous journalist as they deal with the stress of being working parents in today's society. Showrunner Todd Helbing, also known for his work in The Flash, will executive produce and pen the script, alongside Arrowverse creator Greg Berlanti.
The CW is producing some exciting projects for the 2020-2021 season
News about the upcoming Superman & Lois TV series was revealed just as Arrow, the godfather of CW's superhero universe, enters its eighth and final season. The announcement of revisiting "Superman" comes nearly a decade after the network depicted "Clark Kent's" origin story in the series Smallville, which ran for 10 years.
Superman & Lois is not the only Arrow-verse spinoff that is in the works for the 2020-2021 season. The CW is also producing a female-focused spin-off starring Juliana Harkavy, Katherine McNamara, and Katie Cassidy.
