Maria Bello (52), who plays "Jack Sloane" on NCIS, has revealed some details about the return of her co-star Coté de Pablo in an interview with "Entertainment Tonight". Among other things, she explained that the shoot of the scene in season finale in which "Ziva" returns was completely top secret.
NCIS: Cast was "under lock and key" not to spoil the return
Maria Bello spoke openly about "Ziva's" comeback: "They told the cast a couple of weeks before, but we were under lock and key not to say anything at all. We had an idea it was happening … They [filmed her return] with just 20 crew members. She came in a back door and it was the middle of the night. It was top secret!"
NCIS: Will "Ziva" and "Jack" team up?
If it was up to Maria Bello, "Ziva" and "Jack" will work together in the next season. "I'm hoping I'll get some scenes with her next season," the actress continues in her interview with Entertainment Tonight.
Meanwhile, Ziva's return to NCIS for season 17 has been confirmed. Coté de Pablo, as CBS and show runners Frank Cardea and Steven D. Binder explain, will definitely be part of the next season:
"This surprise moment is just the beginning,(...) We are thrilled to share that Cote de Pablo will guest star in the NCIS Season 17 premiere this fall, as "Ziva’s" warning to "Gibbs" unfolds." The premiere of the 17th season of on September 24.
NCIS: Will there soon be a new on-screen couple?
For a while now, NCIS has been dropping romantic hints between "Torres" (Wilmer Valderrama, 39) and "Bishop" (Emily Wickersham, 35).
They had to create false names for an undercover investigation, with which they have been teasing each other ever since.
They even had to look after a baby together - a little taste of a possible romance? According to "Cheatsheet" it could finally be happening in season 17. But "Ziva's" comeback could actually put their potential romance in jeopardy.
On one hand "Bishop" can be regarded as "Ziva's" successor on the show, and her character is the complete opposite of "Ziva" - these two meeting at one point could be quite exciting!
On the other hand, "Bishop" is the only person, aside from "Gibbs" (Mark Harmon, 67), who currently knows that "Ziva" didn't die in Israel. Her keeping this secret could really disappoint "Torres", if it should be discovered.
