- The actor has already been cast
NCIS fans will be excited about this one. The series is adding a brand-new character. She'll debut in the season 19 finale and appear throughout next season as well.
Since it's still a few episodes away, our reveal is spoiler-free outside of who the character is. But feel free to stop reading here if you'd prefer to keep it a secret.
NCIS reveal: THIS new character debuts in season 19
The show hasn't previewed the new character just yet, but the industry outlet Deadline announced the actor joining the cast. And it's someone from the past of "Alden Parker" (Gary Cole)...
Also interesting:
Set to debut in the season 19 finale is "Vivian Kolchak," the ex-wife of "Parker." She's also a former FBI agent, and she'll be played by actress Teri Polo. She will also recur in NCIS season 20, per Deadline.
Teri Polo, 52, is a familiar face from TV and film. She's best known from Meet the Parents and series including The Fosters and The West Wing, among many others.
So it looks like NCIS will further explore the personal side of the newcomer "Parker." Gary Cole debuted as the NCIS lead after Mark Harmon exited as "Gibbs" this season.
NCIS season 19 has four episodes remaining, and it returns this Monday, April 18, after several weeks off. Expect to meet "Vivian" in the season finale.
