Meghan McCain leaving The View after five seasons
McCain announced her decision to exit The View live on today's episode. She cited the recent birth of her daughter Liberty and her experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic as reasons for her departure.
"This was not an easy decision," McCain said. "It took a lot of thought and counsel and prayer and talking to my family and close friends."
She added, "COVID has changed the world for all of us. It changed the way I'm looking at my life, the way I'm living my life, the way I want my life to look like."
