Mayim Bialik is returning to Jeopardy! sooner than expected as she takes on temporary hosting duties. On Monday, People shared that Bialik will soon be standing behind the famous podium for several more tapings following Mike Richards' exit.
Bialik will tape several weeks of Jeopardy! episodes
Bialik first appeared as a guest host on Jeopardy! back in June as the show had a rotation of several guest hosts. When Mike Richards was announced as the new host, it was also announced that she would be joining the show to host special series, such as the National College Championship.
On August 20 however, Richards made the decision to step down as host amid a series of scandals. A representative for Sony Pictures has told People that Bialik will be taping 15 episodes of the show, which will constitute several weeks' worth of content.
After Bialik's stint, the Jeopardy! producers have shared that they will continue looking for a new host. Starting September 13, more guest hosts will be announced. Hopefully whoever takes over the job will make the show's late longtime host Alex Trebek proud by honouring his legacy!
