- Matt Roloff just made a big announcement
A big change is coming for the Roloff family. Just days before the new season of Little People, Big World, Matt Roloff broke the news: he is selling the family home and a chunk of their famous farm.
Matt Roloff announces: Roloff home and farmland for sale
Ever since Little People, Big World premiered, the reality show has followed the family and their lives at Roloff Farms. But that's beginning to change in a big way.
On Instagram, Matt Roloff surprised everyone with the announcement: "Today 16 acres of the farms 109 acres go up for sale including our original family home and bright red barn."
"It's a tiny bit scary but mostly exciting," he wrote. "It's time to move toward the next season of life."
Also interesting:
The land, located in Helvetia, Oregon, is listed online for $4 million. On his website, Matt Roloff added that he is "downsizing in acres to expand my adventures."
Roloff Farms sale: What does it mean?
A lot has changed at Roloff Farms over the years. Matt and Amy Roloff divorced several years ago, and their children have moved out and started families.
In recent Little People, Big World seasons, there was talk of Zach Roloff, Jeremy Roloff, or Jacob Roloff taking over the farm from Matt, but it didn't happen.
Then a preview of LPBW season 23 showed Matt and Zach in a heated conflict about the farm, and now the news of Matt's sale.
We'll have to see how the Roloff Farms sale impacts the family and the new season. Little People, Big World returns to TLC on May 17.
