Line of Duty first hit screens in 2012 and has been gaining fans ever since. The series's current season is the BBC's biggest show of the year with more than 11 million viewers tuning in to watch the latest AC-12 antics.

And the latest news about the show is likely to please fans everywhere. This season's finale will be a one-and-a-half-hour extravaganza on the 5th May. An insider revealed to The Sun that "creating a closing episode which is the same length as some feature films shows just how huge this show has become and how much the corporation values it". Jed Mercurio is happy to have the extra half hour to tie up all the loose ends that the constant plot twists have left him with!

Nothing has been given away plot-wise just yet, but some "closely guarded secrets" are set to be revealed. Will we finally find out who "H" is?
A sixth series has been commissioned so potentially "H's" identity could be kept under wraps for an entire next series. Although if Mercurio will be writing yet another winner of a screenplay remains to be seen. He recently said that he is waiting to see "whether there is an appetite from fans to have more, or whether there's a feeling the show is coming towards its natural arc". Adding, "that conversation will be very specific, which is whether series six will be the last, or whether the BBC would be prepared to commission a seventh so we can approach series six knowing it's not the last".
While we're dying to find out who the nefarious "H" is, we also very worried that it might be "Ted Hastings" (Adrian Dunbar), who was shown wrapping up his laptop and bringing it to a dodgy-looking electronics shop just minutes after "UCO John Corbett" (Stephen Graham) and "Lisa McQueen" (Rochenda Sandall) finished messaging "H" in the last episode.
Only time will tell, but our nerves are already in shreds, the 90-minute finale looks set to be "nail-biting" indeed!
