When Jurassic Park debuted in 1993 it became the highest-grossing film and has since been preserved by the National Film Registry for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.
The film was adapted from critically acclaimed author Michael Crichton's book of the same name into a groundbreaking film that set the standards higher for every sci-fi that followed. Steven Spielberg was already dominating Hollywood and took on the difficult task of making the film "65 million years in the making." Not only were the graphics ahead of its time, the story wildly compelling, and the score was done by legendary composer John Williams, but the actors were also some of the best of the best!
The ensemble cast was led by The Great Escape's Richard Attenborough, The Hunt For The Red October's Sam Neill, Big Little Lies' Laura Dern, and of course The Fly's Jeff Goldblum. Each actor perfectly embodied their character and have wonderful lines memorable to every cinephile like "I really hate that man" and "Life finds a way."
