Joaquin Phoenix's haunting portrayal of "Arthur Fleck" in Joker earned him the Best Actor award at the 2020 Oscars this past Sunday. The ceremony capped off the 2020 award show season.
Now that Joker's successful theatrical run and awards season tour have concluded, director Todd Phillips is reflecting on his time with "Joker" actor Joaquin Phoenix.
Phillips took to Instagram to share intimate photos from the film's last day of shooting.

In addition to the film's record-breaking box office success, Joker was a critical and awards season star. Phoenix's performance and the film's score, composed by Hildur Guonadóttir, were especially popular with awards show voters.
Both Phillips and Phoenix have mentioned that a sequel to Joker is a possibility.
If Phillips's nostalgia for spending time with Phoenix on Joker is any indicator, perhaps another round of Phoenix as "Joker" could be in the works sometime soon!
