Netflix has joined the plans for the production of Jennifer Lawrence's new film, Don't Look Up. News of the movie broke back in November, but the popular streaming service has now signed on to distribute the film, meaning it will hit their platform later this year.
Don't Look Up is a comedy about two astronomers who are tasked with revealing to the world that an asteroid is on a deadly collision course with Earth.

Jennifer Lawrence's new movie with director Adam McKay
Don't Look Up comes from director-writer Adam McKay. He's known for earlier work on comedies including Anchorman, Talladega Nights, and Step Brothers.
More recently, McKay has delved into more critically acclaimed work on films including Oscar-winner The Big Short and Vice.

Jennifer Lawrence: More movies and a recent marriage
Don't Look Up is set to begin filming in the next few months. The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence is also scheduled to appear in a film titled Mob Girl from director Paolo Sorrentino.
Don't Look Up director Adam McKay and Lawrence will also collaborate on a film titled Bad Blood after they complete Don't Look Up.
"J-Law" is also a newlywed. Lawrence married her fiancé, gallery director Cooke Maroney, in 2019. The couple met in 2018 and was engaged in early 2019. They were married this past October.
