On December 7th, 1969, a new Christmas character would be born: "Frosty the Snowman." The animated Christmas movie originally appeared on CBS and is now even the longest-running TV special on the same network. As of 2019, the famous snowman will also make its first appearance on the channel, Freeform.

"Frosty" was voiced by American comedian, Jackie Vernon. He additionally voiced for the sequel, Frosty's Winter Wonderland.
The narrating voice was by comedian and actor, Jimmy Durante, who was a famous American entertainer from the 1920s to the '70s. "Professor Hinkle the Magician" was voiced by Billy De Wolfe, who was also an active actor up until his death in 1974. The film was ranked number 4 on TV Guide's 10 Best Family Holiday Specials list back in 2004, but we still consider this film to be one of the greats and can't wait to watch it again this holiday season!
