Davidson, the Saturday Night Live cast member, will bring life to the role most-famously played by James Stewart in Frank Capra's 1946 film. Other stars participating include Ellie Kemper, Maude Apatow, Mia Farrow, Bill Pullman, BD Wong, Michael Shannon, and Ed Begley Jr., with Tom Bergeron hosting.
The "virtual gala and table read" is being put on by the Ed Asner Family Center. For $50, you can purchase tickets for the Dec. 13 event here — with all proceeds going to Asner's nonprofit benefiting special needs children and their families.

The table read will run as It's a Wonderful Life stands one year shy of its 75th anniversary (coming in 2021). Asner's event appears fully devoted to the 1946 film, with additional sponsorship goals referencing Bedford Falls and various characters from the beloved movie.
