- 'It Ends With Us' is being filmed
- Fans are mad about certain choices
- Creator of the project responds
Colleen Hoover addresses the unhappy 'It Ends With Us' fans
Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni and Brandon Sklenar have been spotted on set. But due to the writers' strike, filming was paused. Even before the strike, the social media world was already calling for an interruption of production.
Fans of the bestseller made their displeasure with the cast known on TikTok, among other places. Colleen Hoover now speaks for the first time about the criticism of the project.
"When we announced the film, I was hoping that people would be excited about it. I didn't think it would create all these TikToks and that people would be so passionate and angry about some of the casting decisions and some of the outfit decisions," she told the 'Today Show'.
Colleen clarifies that she did not give specific ages and outfit choices in her book, which was what the fans were criticizing. "As writers, we make mistakes," Colleen Hoover sums up. Let's hope readers will still warm up to the cast of the film.
It is still unclear when filming can continue.
