'Encanto' continuation teased by Disney producer
Listen up, Disney fans! A possible sequel to the massive hit 'Encanto' could be coming in the future. In a new interview with 'The Direct', a producer for the new Disney short 'Once Upon A Studio' hinted at a continuation of the musical universe.
"But we are so blown away by the reaction and how 'Encanto' kind of connected with so many people. We continue to look at different ways that we can keep the world alive," says producer Yvett Merino says. "I know they teased a little bit of destination D23 about something 'Encanto' coming, possibly to one of the parks".
While 'Encanto' had an average box office run, it was wildly successful after it was released on streaming platforms. The entire soundtrack made it onto the Billboard Top 100 at different points, with "We Don't Talk About Bruno" reaching the number one spot!

Yvett Merino goes on to gush about the warm reception the movie received, and expressed her desire to continue the 'Encanto' world.
"I don't have anything official to say, but I love the 'Encanto' world and can't wait to see it expand across the company," she says.
